Do we offer Internet access in all our rooms?
Complimentary Wired Internet access utilizing a dataport is available in all our guest rooms.  Wireless access is available in our lobby, restaurants and public areas at a nominal charge.

Where is the Hotel Located?
Kapok Hotel is located just around the bend from the Queens Park Savannah, at the cusp of the entrance to the suburb of Maraval. The Hotel is literally minutes away from the capital city of downtown Port of Spain.

Is Full Breakfast included in our Rate?
A complimentary continental buffet breakfast is available to all guests. Additional items such as omelets and pancakes can be ordered at an additional cost.

Do we provide shuttle services to and from the airport?
A shuttle service from the airport can be arranged when making your reservation (with a minimum of 48 hours notice). There is a charge of US$35.00 which is payable to the driver. Alternatively taxis are readily available at the airport on exit of the customs area. Shuttle or Taxi Service to the airport is readily available from the hotel. It is advisable to request service from the front desk with at least 24 hours notice. The current fare ranges between US$ 30.00 & US$ 45.00.

Do we provide tours?
Upon request, we can provide information on tour options available both in Trinidad and Tobago.

Do we have car rental services?
Upon request we can provide a listing of local car rental companies.

Do we have mini bars in our rooms?
Mini fridges are available in all rooms for ease of convenience. Chilled drinks are also available via room service until 10:30 PM daily and there is an 24 hour snack shop where non-alcoholic beverages are sold.

Do we offer towels at the pool area?
Towels are available at the pool area for all registered guests.

What is the maximum number of persons allowed in a room?
The maximum number of persons to a room is 3 in rooms with 1 bed and 4 in our rooms with 2 double beds.

The Kapok Hotel is approximately 15 miles or 30 minutes from the Piarco International Airport.

How far are we located from down town Port-of-Spain?
Kapok Hotel is less than 1 mile and 5 minutes drive from down town Port-of-Spain.

Maracas beach is 30 minutes drive from the hotel.

We are 10 minutes drive from the National Stadium and less than 5 minutes from the Queen's Park Oval.

When is the best time to book for Carnival?
It is advisable to book as early as 1 year to 6 months before carnival as rooms become booked from very early.

The hotel is minutes away from the Carnival Parade route.

Kapok Hotel is an independent property.

What does Kapok Stand For?
“Kapok” is a Malay word for the silk cotton flower. The Hotel was so named because of its location at the very foot of Cotton Hill which was abound with silk cotton trees. The red Kapok logo is representative of the silk cotton flower.
